Account Manager *New Sales
Job Details
C-K Control Temp is seeking an Account Manager with expertise in generating new sales in the HVAC / Professional Mechanical Services Industry. This position is responsible for generating new sales, building customer relationships, and promoting the company’s products and services, such as new equipment, maintenance contracts, and system upgrades. You will conduct on-site assessments in partnership with Operations for businesses to determine the best climate control solutions.
Responsibilities
- Actively cold calling and seeking out new sales opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, and following up on company-provided leads.
- Initiate contact with potential customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess existing systems, identify customer needs, and determine desired outcomes.
- Explain the features and benefits of the company’s products and services, addressing any customer concerns.
- Prepare and present clear, accurate, and detailed proposals, contracts, and sales agreements.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to secure sales.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Ensure a seamless transition for customers by coordinating with installation and service teams.
- Strong collaboration with Operations and Leadership Teams.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and the sales pipeline using CRM software.
- Prepare reports on sales transactions and performance metrics for management.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new products, and competitors to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and networking events.
- Strive to consistently meet and exceed sales targets and quotas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, related field and / or equivalent years of experience in a similar role (at least 8+ years)
- Understanding of HVAC systems, products, and services is required to assist customers effectively.
- Strong sales skills, including prospecting, presentation, and negotiation abilities, are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills, to build trust and rapport with customers.
- Candidates should be self-motivated, results-oriented, highly organized, and possess excellent time management skills.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are often required for on-site client visits.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
